Jason Rebello

Jason Rebello is a highly respected British jazz pianist and composer.

At the age of 19 Rebello became the first jazz musician to secure a place at England’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama as a classical student. He was voted Most Promising Newcomer of the Year for 1988 by The Wire magazine and went on to win several major Jazz Awards including the prestigious Pat Smythe award and The Perrier British Jazz Awards.

Rebello has released a handful of albums under his own name, but is perhaps best known for his work with other artists. In the late 1990’s Rebello joined Sting’s band working on a series of albums including ‘Brand New Day’ and ‘All This Time’.

Aside from his work with Sting, Rebello has collaborated with an impressive list of musicians including Wayne Shorter, Art Blakey, Branford Marsalis, Chaka Khan, Des’ree, Madeleine Peyroux, Jean Toussaint, Mica Paris, Carleen Anderson and has toured and recorded with Jeff Beck since 2006.
