Liars are an inventive, challenging and experimental band. Signed to Mute Records, the band formed in New York at the turn of the century and have since released a series of sonically progressive, thematically rich albums. They have come to be categorized by their dramatic stylistic shifts between albums, while retaining a consistent interest in rhythm and sound textures.

Initially based predominantly around core members Angus Andrew, Aaron Hempill and Julian Gross, Liars now consist solely of Angus Andrew.
