Mark Stewart

Mark Stewart is a British avant-garde musician, pioneer of industrial hip-hop and founder member of seminal post-punk band The Pop Group..

Stewart is an eclectic and highly inventive solo recording artist making several albums under his own name as well as collaborating with a wide range of artists including Trent Reznor, Massive Attack, Primal Scream and Tricky.

In 2006 Stewart wrote the theme music for the first series of the BBC TV drama ‘Waterloo Road’, and in 2009 was the subject of the documentary film ‘On/Off – Mark Stewart – from The Pop Group to the Maffia’.
