T Power

T Power, real name Mark Royal, a jungle and drum ‘n’ bass pioneer who is widely respected as a producer, as a solo artist and as part of Shy FX & T Power.

Originally inspired by hip-hop when it hit the UK in the early 80’s, Royal took the drum patterns, ripped them apart and restructured them into new exciting forms of sound. He was an early pioneer of the hardcore and jungle sound.

Equally inspired by the advance of technology, jazz greats like Miles Davis and the contemporary work of artists such as Ryuichi Sakamoto and Eno, Royal continually produces music that has thought provoking depth.

T Power also records under a number of aliases and in several groups including trippy breaks merchants Chocolate Weasel and jump up drum ‘n’ bass duo Ebony Dusters.
