Astrid Williamson joins Mute Song—
Mute Song is delighted to announce the signing of musician, composer and singer-songwriter Astrid Williamson.
Originally from the Shetland Islands, Astrid has released eight albums over the past two decades since forming alternative trio Goya Dress in the early 1990’s with Terry de Castro and Simon Pearson. She has collaborated with various artists as performer and writer, most recently co-writing songs with Lisa Gerrard on her album Twilight Kingdom. Astrid is also a classically trained as a pianist and her first full scale orchestral work Requiem & Gallipoli was released in 2015 on One Little Indian Records.
