A Denmark born Colstrup, has composed music for a long line of TV-series, feature films, and documentaries.
Some of his most noticeable work includes the composition of the score music for ‘The Square’, which won the 2013 Sundance Film Festival Audience Award for World Cinema in the documentary, garnered three Emmys, and was nominated for a 2014 Academy Award. In 2019 Colstrup has been awarded the Carl Nielsen Award, as the Composer of the Year for the music to ‘False Confessions’ film.
Besides his work as a film composer, Colstrup is also a recording artist and in 2017 released the album ‘Between Sound and Silence’ with music for piano, strings, and organ.
