Tim Burgess is the front man of The Charlatans, a record label boss of O Genesis, an author and a solo recording artist. A true Renaissance man.
As a solo artist, Tim has released 4 albums of material, the first of which was 2003’s ‘I believe’. 2012 saw him release for the first time on his own label O Genesis with ‘Oh No I Love You’. Written with Kurt Wagner the frontman of Lambchop, the album saw a host of well know faces perform on it and highlighted Tim’s eagerness and affinity for collaborating on his solo work. Tim’s next release, ‘Same Language, Different Worlds’ came in 2016 and was a collaboration with the experimental composer Peter Gordon. It’s melding of experimental weirdness and pop sensibilities showed Tim to be stepping out of his comfort zone and pushing himself musically and artistically. 2018 sees the release of ‘As I Was Now’, a collection of songs originally conceived of in 2008 but not recorded and released until this year.
