Anita Lane

Anita Lane is a singer, songwriter and recording artist from Melbourne, Australia. Closely associated with The Birthday Party and the early Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, with whom she co-wrote several of their most well known works such as ‘From Her To Eternity and ‘Stranger Than Kindness’.

Lane’s solo career began with the four-song EP ‘Dirty Sings’, which was followed by the full length release ‘Dirty Pearl’, a mix of covers, original works and collaborations. She continued writing and collaborating with a variety of eclectic artists including Mick Harvey, Barry Adamson, Die Haut and Einsturzende Neubauten, before completing her second album, 2001’s  ‘avant-garde, baroque, Seventies disco album’ ‘Sex O’Clock’.
