About

Mute Song is an independent music publishing company based in London, established in 1983 by Mute Records founder Daniel Miller.

While Mute Song’s early roster had strong links to the record label, it has since grown into a diverse catalogue of songwriters and composers working across a wide range of labels, genres, and disciplines, including film, television, ballet, opera, theatre, and the visual arts.

The guiding spirit behind the Mute Song roster has always been one of artistic freedom and creative exploration. Today, the company is dedicated to championing, nurturing, and developing exceptional songwriting talent, and is proud to represent a roster of some of the most groundbreaking artists, songwriters, and composers of the past 50 years.
