Astrid Williamson

Astrid Williamson is a singer-songwriter, composer and musician from the Shetland Islands whose work bridges alternative songwriting and contemporary classical composition.

Emerging as a founding member of the trio Goya Dress, she later developed a solo catalogue shaped by piano-led writing, atmospheric production and introspective lyricism.

Classically trained as a pianist, she has also composed orchestral works, including Requiem & Gallipoli, reflecting a practice that moves between song form, chamber writing and expansive instrumental composition.
