Ayse Hassan / ESYA

Ayse Hassan is a British composer, musician, singer and bass player, best known as co-founder and co-writer of the post-punk band Savages, whose debut album Silence Yourself and follow-up Adore Life received widespread critical recognition and award nominations. Alongside this work, she co-founded the experimental electronic duo Kite Base with Kendra Frost and has collaborated on the project 180db with Fay Milton. Under the solo alias Esya, she explores industrial-leaning, beat-driven electronic music shaped by themes of identity, transformation and psychological tension.
