Barry Adamson

Barry Adamson is a British musician, composer and multidisciplinary artist, self-taught, first known as bassist in Magazine, later a member of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. His solo career began with Moss Side Story, establishing a cinematic, narrative approach to composition. He has released multiple solo albums and collaborated with filmmakers including David Lynch, Oliver Stone, Danny Boyle and Derek Jarman, with work spanning film, television, performance and media. His output integrates music, film and visual art, reflecting an ongoing practice across composition, direction and storytelling.
