Christina Vantzou

Christina Vantzou is a composer and visual artist whose work spans ambient-classical composition, experimental graphic notation, and interdisciplinary sound practice.

Of Greek descent and originally from Missouri, she developed an independent approach to composition that integrates electronics, acoustic instrumentation, field recordings, and voice. Her music explores extended temporal structures, harmonic resonance, and atmospheric detail, resulting in a distinctive language shaped by minimalism and spatial form.

She has released a series of numbered solo works on Kranky and has also collaborated with John Also Bennett as CV & JAB, alongside a range of other collaborative and solo projects that combine sonic and visual elements.
