Clodagh Simonds
Clodagh Simonds is an Irish composer and vocalist whose career began in her teens with the psych-folk group Mellow Candle, alongside early session work with artists including Thin Lizzy and Mike Oldfield. After an early period of exploration, she spent time in New York developing theatre music at La MaMa ETC and engaging with diverse musical traditions. She later returned to recording, contributing vocals to interpretations of Syd Barrett and James Joyce, and collaborating with artists such as Current 93, Matmos, and Steven Wilson. Since 2005 she has been busy with an extraordinary cast of characters (including Brian Eno, Carter Burwell and Robert Fripp amongst others) who aid and abet her recordings under the collective name of Fovea Hex.
