Gallon Drunk

Gallon Drunk are a London-based alternative rock band formed by James Johnston, known for a dark, literate sound that draws on influences ranging from swamp rock and punk to jazz and literary traditions. Their work is characterised by intense, atmospheric arrangements and a consistent critical presence across the independent music press. Johnston has also been a member of Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds , as well as PJ Harvey, and has collaborated widely across music and screen composition, extending the band’s aesthetic sensibility into other creative contexts.
