Haswell & Hecker

Russell Haswell and Florian Hecker are multidisciplinary artists whose collaborative practice explores the outer limits of computer music and sound art. Born in England and Germany respectively, they have presented performances at leading international festivals and venues, alongside remix projects for influential groups including Voice Crack and Popol Vuh. Their work encompasses research into Iannis Xenakis’ UPIC composition system, resulting in immersive multi-channel electroacoustic performances that combine spatialised sound, surround audio and laser-based visual elements.
