Keel Her
Keel Her is the project of Winchester-born artist Rose Keeler Schaffler, whose prolific songwriting began in her early teens using second-hand and found instruments. Her work is rooted in lo-fi and DIY recording practices, shaped by an intuitive and highly individual approach to pop composition. Early cassette releases established her distinctive voice, followed by collaborations with lo-fi musician R. Stevie Moore and a series of solo recordings. Drawing on influences such as Talking Heads, Linda Smith and The Beatles, Keel Her develops a style defined by melodic invention, textural experimentation and a consistently personal sonic identity.
