Magazine were an influential British post-punk and new wave band formed in Manchester in 1977 by singer Howard Devoto. Their debut album ‘Real Life’ was a landmark early post-punk release, followed by ‘Secondhand Daylight’ and ‘The Correct Use of Soap’, with all four albums reaching the UK Top 40, establishing a distinctive atmospheric sound and influence.
