Nicholas Bougaieff

Nicolas Bougaïeff is a French-Canadian electronic music artist based in Berlin. Emerging from Quebec’s rave underground in the late 1990s, he developed a practice spanning techno, electroacoustic composition, and experimental club music. He studied electroacoustic composition at Conservatoire in Montreal and pursued doctoral research on minimal techno at University of Huddersfield. Bougaïeff has contributed to performance technology design for Richie Hawtin’s Plastikman live shows and founded label Denkfabrik.
