Nightports

Nightports is a UK-based experimental music project led by Adam Martin and Mark Slater, defined by a self-imposed compositional rule in which all material is derived exclusively from the featured collaborator’s recorded sounds. These source recordings are then extensively transformed, processed, and reconfigured to create new musical works that retain a trace of the original performer while reshaping their sonic identity. The project explores the boundaries of authorship, collaboration, and sound design, resulting in a body of work that varies with each contributor while remaining unified through its restrictive creative framework.
