Stephen O’Malley

Stephen O’Malley is an American musician, composer, curator and visual artist known for experimental approaches to sound, dynamics and amplification. He co-founded Sunn O))), KTL, Khanate, Burning Witch and Thorr’s Hammer, and works across interdisciplinary collaborations with artists including Greg Anderson, Jim O’Rourke, Peter Rehberg, Merzbow, Kali Malone and others. He composes for ensembles ranging from chamber groups to large orchestral works.
