Henrik Lindstrand is a Swedish piano player and film score composer, also known for being the keyboard player of Kashmir, one of Scandinavia’s most successful rock bands.
Based in Copenhagen where he has his own studio, Henrik has written scores for a large number of feature films, TV series, and documentaries. He has worked with prominent Scandinavian Directors including Ole Christian Madsen, Jesper W. Nielsen, Anders Morgenthaler, and others. Most recently he scored the Danish/Swedish/German TV series “Greyzone” which aired worldwide during 2018/19 and “Undtagelsen” (The Exception) which was released in 2020. In 2019 he worked alongside the developers on the award-winning adult Lego Game, Builders Journey, and composed music for a mindfulness health App.
In 2017 Henrik released his first critically acclaimed debut “Leken”. A solo piano album that echoes his cinematic background and can in part be understood as a companion to a non-existing Lindstrand documentary, as evident in the track names, practically geo-tagging key locations from his past and present life.
In 2019 he signed to legendary UK label One Little Independent (pka One Little Indian) and released his 2nd solo piano album “Nattresan”. The album title means “night travel” or “night journey”. Most of the album being written at night contains a nocturnal spirit.
2020 sees the completion of the solo piano trilogy with “Nordhem” released in October. It shares the same DNA as the previous two albums with the piano being the only instrument used. The theme of “Nordhem” is Henrik looking back at his roots, peeling off the layers to reveal a heartfelt honesty and completes the musical circle. Alongside every single release, Henrik has produced beautifully poetic and emotive videos which add a further dimension to his carefully crafted vision as an artist and composer working in the field of music and visuals.
