Peter Blegvad, is an American musician, singer-songwriter and cartoonist. He was a founding member of the avant-rock band Slapp Happy and has recorded many solo and collaborative albums.

Blegvad is a deft, accomplished, witty and literate lyricist whose love of word games and literary references is matched by an effortless mastery of rhyme, with many songs featuring complex and extended rhyme schemes. Blegvad’s is also the creator of strangely surreal, yet beautifully drawn comic strip, Leviathan which ran in The Independent newspaper and has been collected in various volumes.
